Born in Tuapse (Russia) in 1986.
Vika Bykovskaya is a documentary and portrait photographer. She focuses on human, his inner contradictions, complexity and multidimensionality in her artistic practice. The stories of her heros are stories of strength and weakness, hope and despair, love and alienation.
Also in her work she addresses the theme of place, real and fictional. One of the goals of her research is to expand the idea of a place and present a different view of inanimate nature, where space can act as a living entity.
Lives and works in St. Petersburg.
